We sure do.  I will arrange to have  the shoes picked up after the event.  The shoes do need to be rinsed of mud and dried before they can be boxed and shipped otherwise one wet pair will ruin the shipment.  I can rinse and dry them at my home and have UPS pick up the shoes.  If you plan to promote this (which we hope you will) and encourage people to bring additional shoes from home besides the pair they wear in the event, we will provide you with the boxes.  The muddy shoes should be placed in garbage bags for transport.  So in a nutshell, at the event you’d have a box for dry shoes and garbage bags for the wet/mud covered.  Does this sound workable for you? Also, how many participants do you anticipate for the event? Thanks!

Good afternoon,
It was recommended that an email might be a good way for us to connect.  I am writing to you about an awesome way to get that extra boost of money raised during your upcoming race event.  We are ShoeBox Recycling, a shoe recycling company that works with organizations to collect worn shoes for reuse around the globe.    Our  program is really a no-brainer.  We send you boxes and you fill them with pairs of worn shoes. With the UPS label we provide, you send them back (UPS will actually pick them up.) We weigh the boxes and send you a check. Do anything you want with the money.  You make $.50 a pound. On average, you can plan to raise at least $500 with just 25 boxes filled.  The boxes are small, portable and self adhesive so you don’t even have to worry about taping them.  The boxes set up nicely at an event.  This is the best maintenance-free fundraiser to add more revenue on with your other efforts.

 

A pair of shoes can literally save a life by preventing infection and allow children to enter schools to gain an education worldwide.  We all have old shoes in our closet that are worn and ready to go.
